RULES FOR TEAM RANDOM BREAKS

HOW OUR TEAM RANDOM WORKS :

We have a total of 32 spots. On Facebook, we will random all 32 spots a random number of times decided by verified Random.org. We will then random all 32 teams by a random number of times decided by verified Random.org.

We will then match the spots to the teams. (So, if your name ends up being in spot one after the random, you will have whatever team that appears on spot one.)

There will be a 10 minute trade period for those who are watching live (must be in the Facebook group in order to complete the trade).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS :

Our scheduled break times are approximate as it depends on when the break fills and when we have a breaker available. If it fills prior to 6pm MST, it will be broke that night. If it fills after 6pm MST, it will break the following business day.

Break videos will be visible on our Facebook page right after it’s completed in the event you miss the live. Under full transparency, Facebook only stores the live break videos for 30 days and therefore, you must watch within that time period.

HOW IT WORKS:

Random.org is used to decide your spot and what team you will receive. You will receive all of the hits associated with the team that you received after the two randoms of customer’s names and NHL teams.

  • Basic shipping is included and all cards that the Hobby Spot determine to be valued at $200 CAD or greater will include tracked shipping.
  • If you require further information about how breaks work or how they ship, please feel free to reach out to us at sales@thehobbyspot.ca .

RULES FOR DETERMINING PLAYERS THAT ARE DEPICTED IN ALL-STAR/INTERNATIONAL JERSEYS OR NHL TEAMS WHO NOT LONGER EXIST:

The winner of cards with players from multiple teams will be determined through random draw via Random.org after the break is complete, number or rolls to be determined by Random.org. The team or name on top after the number of rolls determined by Random.org will win the card.

Old/Relocated franchises will go to the team they are listed as on the checklist. If the checklist does not show a modern team, we follow the below team correlation.

  • Old Winnipeg Jets = Phoenix Coyotes = Utah Mammoth
  • Minnesota North Stars = Dallas Stars
  • Quebec Nordiques = Colorado Avalanche
  • Hartford Whalers = Carolina Hurricanes
  • Atlanta Thrashers = Winnipeg Jets

International/All-Star cards will go to the associated team on the checklist. If there is no team listed, the card will then go to the players current team. If there is no team associated on the checklist, and the player is retired – the card will then go to the team that the player played the most games with in their career.

SKUNK DISCLAIMER:

When participating in a Team Random break, retailers are obligated to provide compensation in the event that no cards are received for a spot. All 32 spots must receive a card from the break however full transparency, the Hobby Spot lines all team random breaks to ensure every team receives a card (base cards included).

SERIAL FILLERS CLOSERS (FOR TEAMS THAT WERE NOT PURCHASED):

For serial filler closers, the same rules apply for the Pick Your Team’s skunk disclaimer and therefore, as per Upper Deck’s policy, The Hobby Spot is not obligated to provide any compensation for skunks.

WHEN RUNNING MINIS (FOR TEAMS THAT DIDN’T SELL OUTRIGHT):
