Our mission

Fewer partners. More impact.

As the shop grew, we wanted to support every cause that asked. We eventually decided the opposite was more useful: concentrate on a small number of local organizations and contribute meaningfully to each one, year after year.

That means ongoing support for the Leduc Food Bank, October Saves, the Ben Stelter Foundation, and Leduc Minor Hockey — plus one rotating partner each year through our charity golf tournament. For 2026 that partner is KidSport Leduc.

Organizations interested in being considered for a future tournament are welcome to email us.

Ben Stelter Foundation

A mutual friend introduced us to the Stelter family, and we were invited to the first Ben Stelter Memorial Hockey Tournament in 2023 to help raise money for children diagnosed with cancer.

After meeting Mike and his family, and seeing how they turned something that difficult into a mission for other people, it's hard to overstate how motivating it has been to be part of it.

Their work stands as a symbol of hope for families facing cancer, and we're proud to play a small role in it each year.

October Saves

We met LJ through a mutual connection and followed her cancer fight from a distance, then reconnected through our sponsorship of the Canadian Women's National Ball Hockey Team — where we saw first-hand how she turned her own battle into an annual campaign raising awareness and funds every October.

Nearly everyone on our team and in our customer community has been touched by cancer through someone they know. That's why we back LJ's campaign every year.

Watch for our October card show and online fundraiser.

I've been fundraising with October Saves for four or five years now. In 2024 I was diagnosed with appendix cancer, which made the campaign even more meaningful to me. After two major surgeries that year, one including HIPEC, I was given the all clear on October 31, 2024 — the final day of the campaign. I had endless support during my journey and still do, so it means the world to be able to keep giving back.

Leduc & District Food Bank

Giving back locally has been part of the shop from the beginning. With our customers behind us, we've contributed more than $254,690 in cash and food value to the Leduc Food Bank, including over 13,820 kg of food.

In 2025 alone the community has already put in $75,115 and 2,721 kg of food — and the year isn't finished.

Annual Charity Golf Tournament

What started as a day of golf, prizes, and community has grown into our yearly fundraising event for one chosen organization.

This year's tournament raised money for KidSport Leduc, putting every dollar toward registration fees and equipment so local kids can play regardless of what their family can afford.

Thank you to everyone who golfed, sponsored a hole, donated a prize or turned up on the day. We could not run it without you.

Leduc Minor Hockey Association

Minor hockey teaches teamwork, dedication and sportsmanship, and builds friendships that outlast the seasons. As a locally owned business, backing programs that do that for kids and families here matters to us.

Whether through sponsorship, events, fundraising or just showing up, we're proud to stand behind local hockey and the families who make it possible.
